I'm a registered dietitian and certified intuitive eating counselor. My passion is working with clients and communities on fostering a healthy relationship to food and working towards body peace, trust, and respect.
I follow a Health at Every Size (HAES) philosophy which respects body diversity and considers all aspects of health.
I invite you to learn more and to be curious. This is a no judgement zone.
The HAES(R) and Intuitive Eating philosophies are great, initial frameworks for individual nutrition counseling, family nutrition counseling and education, and community events such as schools (PTA meetings, coach/teacher educations, etc.), doctor's offices, workplace wellness, and more.
I am co-author of a children's nutrition book, "Around the Garden We GROW", which was inspired by my work to change the health curriculum in Maryland. "Around the Garden We GROW" is an interactive nutrition book and addresses food access, food curiosity, and respecting the food choices of others.
Sarah has a passion for nutrition education. She also enjoys watching her daughter play lacrosse and spending time with her family, including her dog, Oshie!
